Escura’s InstantSnap may look like an instant photo print, but it’s actually a functional 1.3-megapixel digital camera. This $47 USD device weighs just 28 grams and what you see is literally what you get, a very basic camera that has a transparent viewfinder window instead of an LCD.
Aside from the 1.3-megapixel sensor with a 3.2mm f/2.8 lens, it features a fixed 1/125-second shutter, and supports photo as well as video recording directly onto a microSD card. Viewing the media can be done via a USB-C connection to a smartphone, computer, or tablet. There’s no word yet on if we’ll see a release outside of Japan when it launches in April 2025.
