The Wistron Dual Fusion laptop concept may not be the first to have a detachable touchpad that doubles as a handheld game console, but it most certainly has the most intuitive design we’ve seen yet. However, if this touchpad has its own CPU, GPU, RAM, etc., then it probably adds considerable weight to the laptop.

Its primary purpose is to merge the worlds of PC and handheld gaming into one, while providing a seamless experience anywhere you go. The detachable touchpad was designed to stream from the PC, but it would definitely be a missed opportunity if that is its only function, as even retro gaming would be a bonus. There’s no word yet on if we’ll see a functional prototype anytime soon.
