If SEGA Released a Sonic the Hedgehog Game for the Original Game Boy, This is What it Would Look Like

If SEGA released a Sonic the Hedgehog game for the original Game Boy in 1991, this is what it would look like. Gamers may already know that an official port was released in 2006 on the Game Boy Advance, but this fan game takes nostalgia to a whole new level.
SEGA fan RetroSilver used GB Studio to create this game, and it’s essentially an open-source, drag-and-drop game development tool designed specially to make games for the Nintendo Game Boy. Thanks to its drag-and-drop interface and visual scripting, users will not need to write even a single line of code to get started. Completed games can be exported as ROM files, which work on Game Boy emulators, actual Game Boy hardware (via flash carts), or even as web-based games with mobile-friendly controls. Don’t have a Game Boy and still want to try it out? You can do so here, complete with a download link should you have a compatible device as well.
GB Studio is such a fun time! I’ve been using for a good while now. I haven’t made any full blown games with it, but I will one day. Nice job on this! Also fun fact: There actually were a few Sega games on Nintendo consoles before SA2, such as After Burner for the Famicom and Puyo Puyo~n Party for the N64. While they weren’t developed by SEGA themselves, they still had their name on them,” said one commenter.
