New iPhone 17 Air Dummy Unit Gets Compared to Entire iPhone 17 Lineup

We’re a little over 160-days-away from the official iPhone 17 Air announcement, which means lots more leaks and spy shots will be surfacing in the coming months, including this dummy unit comparison. This handset is rumored to measure just 5.5mm to 6mm at its thinnest point, though the camera bump adds significant bulk, bringing the total thickness to around 9.5mm at its thickest.

In this dummy unit comparison, we can see that the front may not look drastically different from other iPhone 17 models, retaining features like Face ID and a Dynamic Island, but there’s speculation it could have a smaller Dynamic Island than its Pro counterparts. The rear camera layout is where it differentiates itself, boasting a single rear camera housed in a wide, rectangular “camera bar” or a Google Pixel-like “visor” design, with the flash positioned separately. It’s expected to feature a 6.6-inch LTPO OLED display, positioning it between the sizes of the standard iPhone 17 and the iPhone 17 Pro Max, while it should be powered by an A19 chip, built on TSMC’s 3-nanometer N3P technology.
