Thomas Tuchel cuts another England star from squad to face Latvia tonight | Football

Tino Livramento has been left out of the England squad by Thomas Tuchel for tonight’s clash with Latvia at Wembley.
The Newcastle United star has enjoyed a superb campaign on Tyneside, shifting over to left-back in recent weeks to provide cover for injured teammate Lewis Hall.
Having proved his worth in both full-back positions, Livramento was in contention to feature against Albania on Friday night but was an unused substitute in the 2-0 win.
Arsenal’s Myles Lewis-Skelly started at left-back, scoring 20 minutes into his international debut, with Kyle Walker keeping his place at right-back. Reece James was brought on in the second-half to replace the former.
Livramento will have no role to play against Latvia in the capital this evening having being sent back top his club.
Tuchel selected a 26-man squad for his first two games in charge but is limited to a 23-man matchday squad.
Southampton goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale will also be left out again with Jordan Pickford, Dean Henderson and James Trafford the manager’s preferred options in goal.

‘We have to get the process right to find the best group,’ Tuchel said.
‘If that means we leave very good and talented players out of the squad this can happen. In the next 16 months it is important we find the right team and not the most talented 26 players.
‘We need to get the team right. We need to get the team spirit right because it’s one thing to play qualifiers, it’s another thing to play tournament football.’
Given England’s lack of any other alternative at left-back following Livramento’s exit, Lewis-Skelly would appear to be in line to start for England once again tonight.

Morgan Gibbs-White and Jarell Quansah meanwhile have returned to the squad and will hope to be involved.
The pair, alongside Ramsdale, were left out of the squad last Friday.
Cole Palmer, Bukayo Saka and Trent Alexander-Arnold were among the high profile names to miss out on the squad altogether through injury, along with Kobbie Mainoo.
Anthony Gordon has joined the injury list after he was forced off against Albania. Eberechi Eze and Jarrod Bowen are among the options to come into the side should Tuchel decide to drop Phil Foden or Marcus Rashford from his starting XI.
