Rivian x iKamper Skycamp Mini Tent Turns the R1T and R1S Into a Tiny Home on Wheels

This is a special-edition all-season, two-person hardshell tent sporting locking mounting brackets compatible with Rivian’s Adventure Key Set, along with an aerodynamic hard shell case that mounts atop the R1T’s truck bed or the R1S’s roof using Rivian’s cargo crossbars.

Skycamp Mini weighs about 137-pounds, making it relatively lightweight for a hardshell tent, and boasts a 4-inch FTT Comfort mattress (half-foam, half-air) for better insulation as well as sleep quality. Durability? The design can withstand winds up to 35 mph and protects against UV rays and rain, with a breathable blackout polycotton canvas and a waterproof rainfly. It’s also got a telescoping ladder that stows inside when packed, plus Rivian-specific touches like blacked-out hardware, exclusive color options, and branded accents.

Priced at $4,595, it’s available for pre-order through iKamper’s website, and early buyers get a bonus Disco Series Stove while supplies last. Range impact will vary, as some should expect a 5-10% loss when mounted over the R1T bed (thicker end toward the cab for best efficiency) or 10-15% when on the R1T cab or R1S roof, depending on speed and conditions. Compared to the standard Skycamp 3.0 Mini, it’s essentially the same core design but tailored with Rivian’s aesthetic and slight upgrades like the deluxe mattress.
