Hyundai Pleos Connect Infotainment System Software Tesla
Here’s a first look at Hyundai Pleos Connect, the company’s next-generation infotainment system that was built on the Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS). This is a big shift for Hyundai, moving away from their previous in-house setups to leverage Android’s open and scalable ecosystem.

Simply put, Pleos Connect promises a smartphone-like user interface with features like split-view and multi-window functions, making it more intuitive and customizable. Hyundai Pleos Connect Infotainment System Software Tesla
The rollout plan is ambitious: Pleos Connect will debut in vehicles starting in Q2 2026 (so, April-June next year), with Hyundai aiming to integrate it into over 20 million vehicles by 2030. It’s designed to enhance compatibility with mobile apps and support continuous updates, much like how your phone gets software upgrades. They’re also opening it up to third-party developers through something called Pleos Playground, an open platform with software development kits (SDKs) and APIs, which should mean a richer app ecosystem down the line.

In the rapidly changing automotive industry, Hyundai Motor Group has been dedicated to SDV development since 2023. Today, starting with Pleos 25, we are transforming into a company providing software-centered mobility experiences. Our ultimate goal is to achieve Cloud Mobility, where all forms of mobility are connected through software on the cloud, and continuously evolve over time. Pleos serves to create a connected mobility experience expanding from a vehicle to fleets, hardware to software, and ultimately to the entire mobility infrastructure and cities,” said Chang Song, President and Head of Hyundai Motor and Kia’s Advanced Vehicle Platform (AVP) Division.
