Liverpool vs Everton LIVE: Premier League latest score and goal updates | Football

Another Merseyside derby awaits tonight as Liverpool and Everton collide again at Anfield.

After an explosive affair at Goodison Park in February, this evening certainly has a lot to live up to.

James Tarkowski’s stunning late equaliser sparked a right old scrap that led to four red cards being dished out by Michael Oliver as the Toffees’ final derby at their old stadium got the perfect, rowdy send-off.

Arsenal’s win over Fulham on Tuesday night reduced the gap at the top of the league to nine points. A slip-up from Arne Slot’s side tonight could make things very interesting once again.

Metro’s LIVE blog will bring you all the match build-up, confirmed team news and goal updates throughout the evening.

Moyes’ woeful Anfield record… but there is hope

David Moyes’ record at Anfield is a rather bleak one – 21 games, 14 defeats, zero wins and 36 goals conceded.

But his side are in fine form – undefeated in their last nine matches, their longest run without a loss since February 2017.

Liverpool vs Everton kick-off time

We are scheduled to get underway at 8pm sharp tonight. Official line ups will be with us at around 6:45pm.

Early Everton team news

liman Ndiaye and Dwight McNeil returned to full training this week along with Vitalii Mykolenko, who has recovered from a knock he picked up while on international duty with Ukraine.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin remains sidelined for the Blues.

Early Liverpool team news

Trent Alexander-Arnold will have no role to play with Conor Bradley in contention to return from injury and step into that right-back role.

But if the Northern Irishman is only deemed fit enough for the bench, Jarell Quansah will likely be asked to deputise again.

Goalkeeper Alisson Becker was set to undergo final tests this week after he was forced to leave the Brazil camp with a head injury.

Ryan Gravenberch meanwhile has been passed fit.

Alexander-Arnold aftermath

Liverpool are still positively reeling from news that Trent Alexander-Arnold, one of their own, is set to walk away from the club on a free transfer at the end of the season to join Liverpool.

The England international won’t be involved tonight, ruled out through injury. But we suspect the Anfield crowd might have something to say about his bombshell last week.
