Michael van Gerwen forced to withdraw from Premier League Darts in Berlin

Michael van Gerwen has withdrawn from Premier League Darts in Berlin on Thursday night due to a shoulder injury.
The Dutchman was scheduled to play Gerwyn Price in the quarter-final at the Uber Arena.
Van Gerwen was third in the table with 13 points and involved in a tight battle for the final two top-four places.
Luke Littler leads the table with 26 points and four nights won, while Luke Humphries sits second on 18 points.
Price sits fourth, one point behind behind MVG but with two nights won.
The top four players after Night 16 will make the play-offs at The O2 in London on May 29.

A statement from the PDC read: ‘Michael van Gerwen has withdrawn from Thursday’s BetMGM Premier League night in Berlin due to a shoulder injury.
‘The Dutchman had been hoping to continue his run of success in the Premier League’s visits to the Uber Arena, which include victories in the 2022 Play-Offs and last year’s league night.
‘However, a shoulder injury has meant that Van Gerwen has withdrawn from the event.
‘His scheduled quarter-final opponent, Gerwyn Price, receives a Bye through to the semi-finals under tournament rules, taking 2 league points and +1 leg difference.
‘Van Gerwen receives no league points and -6 leg difference.’
