Raphinha clashes with Barcelona teammate and Hansi Flick after Real Betis draw | Football

Raphinha clashed with Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick and goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen after the 1-1 draw with Real Betis on Saturday night.

Barca were unable to fully capitalise on Real Madrid’s 2-1 defeat at home to Valencia earlier on Saturday as they were held at home by Betis.

An early goal from Gavi gave Barcelona the lead but Betis equalised in the 17th minute through Natan.

After the full-time whistle, Raphinha, who was substituted in the 57th minute, stormed on to the pitch and made his way over to the officials.

He was also involved in a brief heated exchange with Flick.

But as he headed towards the tunnel, Ter Stegen attempted to put his arm around Raphinha but the Brazilian pushed the goalkeeper away.

Ter Stegen then swatted Raphinha’s arm aside before he pushed the winger further down the tunnel.

When asked about the incident with Raphinha after the game, Flick said: ‘He was angry with me, not with the referee, he was yelling at me.’

Raphinha has been one of Barca’s standout performers this season with 24 goals and 13 assists in all competitions so far.

The draw still leaves Barcelona four points clear of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga with both having played 30 games.

Atletico Madrid, who are in third, will move to seven points behind Barcelona if they win away to Sevilla on Sunday.

Barcelona are next in action on Wednesday when they play Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie.
