Former Arsenal winger Jermaine Pennant has told Golden Panda that he believes Real Madrid will emerge as 2-1 winners at the Emirates in their Champions League quarter-final first leg clash tonight.

‘I can’t see Real Madrid not scoring tonight, especially with the loss of Gabriel,’ he said. ‘That said, Madrid are a team that give you chances; they like to go forward and be on the attack. That opens the opportunity for Arsenal to hit them on the counterattack and potentially grab a goal.

‘Bukayo Saka looks to be back in the team and match fit. If he plays well, I can see the Gunners getting a goal. But their weakened defence will definitely be targeted by Madrid. Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo will be rubbing their hands together now Gabriel is injured.

‘I think Madrid will have too much for Arsenal tonight, I’m going for 2-1 to Real in this leg.’
